Musky Perfumes

The musky olfactory family includes all those fragrances composed, structured or based on the note of musk, the archetype of the perfume itself. Initially, an animal musk was used produced by a small male deer typical of the Hindu Kush, which in the mating season scattered these little balls of musk to mark the territory and attract females, hence the aphrodisiac connotation and animalic note.

Nowadays this small deer is almost extinct, and in any case it is no longer used for the production of musk, which instead is obtained from synthetic molecules, which used in absolute or in variations maintains its extraordinary power unchanged.
