The oud which in Arabic means wood, is probably the most precious ingredient of perfumery, it is in fact also known as black gold, the undisputed symbol of mystery, sensuality, and elegance.

This precious material derives from the resin of Aquilaria and Gyrinops trees, belonging to an evergreen species typical of Southeast Asia. When these trees are infected by a particular type of mould, the tree in defense of the wood or in the presence of particular natural phenomena produces this very dense resin.

The oud embodies millennia of history and tradition, in oriental culture the Oud is linked to the sacred and is defined as the perfume of the Gods, it was burned in religious ceremonies or in political sessions, it was thought to connect men to heaven.

Its woody smell is rich in characteristics ranging from sweet to earthy, with notes of leather and spices, moreover its main characteristic is the ability to change according to the pH of the skin of the person who wears it, it evolves by adapting and becoming a second leather for those who choose it.
